Death
Funeral services for Charles Augusta Furr were held Saturday at 8 a.m. from the Providence Baptist church with the Rev. Ottis Jones officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Furr died May 7 at his home after a long illness. A native of Lawrence county, Mr. Furr was a member of the Providence Baptist church. He lived in the Ruth community. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. C. Furr; one son and three daughters; three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Evans, Mrs. Eugenia Evans and Mrs. Edna Lea; and one brother, Joe Furr. In addition 12 grandchildren survive. Hartman funeral home was in charge of arrangements.Endnotes
