Death
James Neely "Rassie" Furr, age 69, a resident of Ola, AR died Friday, April 20, 1999 at V. A. Regional Medical at Little Rock AR. " He was born January 18, 1930 at Nimrod, AR to Newton and Muncie Jackson) Furr. He was a retired dozier operator, Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII and was a member of the Plainview First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one daughter and one granddaughter. Survivors include three sons Randy Furr of Ola, AR, Max Furr of San Mateo, CA and David Furr of Mm. Pine, AR; three daughters, Tommie Alice Reed of Little Rock, Susan Alvey of London, AR and Nancy Via of Ola, AR; two sisters, Euda Mae Forrest of Kingston, AT and Geraldine Sinkey of No. Little Rock, AR; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside service was May 4, 1999 at the Nimrod Cemetery at Nimrod, AR officiated by Rev. David Rumsey. Service under the direction of Humphrey Ola Funeral Home. Casket bearers were Randy, Ma and David Furr, Brad Alvey, Rickey Via and Gary Reed. Honorary Zachery Alvey, Tommy Watson and Adrian Tippit.Endnotes
