Death
Muncie Lavonia Jackson Furr, age 94 of Ola, died Monady, September 10, 1990 at the Yell County Nursing Home of Ola. She was the widow of the late Newton Randolph "Fuzzy" Furr. She was a homemaker anda member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Plainview, a 50-year member of the Kingston Extension Homemakers Club, a charter member of the Nimrod Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Salem Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Eugene Furr of Ft. Smith and James "Rassie" Furr of Ola; two daughters, Euda Mae Forrest of Ola and Geraldine Sinkey of North Little Rock; one brother, Dewey Jackson of Porterville, CA; one sister, Florenia Tackett of Lake Charles, LA; 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Furr aand L.D. Furr. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Salem Methodist Church by Rev. Dorothy Stewart. Burial was at Numrod Cemetery by Humphrey Funeral Service of Ola. Pallbearers include Randall Forrest, Hayes Bridges, Roy Hunnicutt, Michael Vaught, Randy Furr, Al Slawson and Olene Gene Furr.Endnotes
