Death
POST (Special) — Services for Woodrow Furr, a former Post resident who died Monday in a San Antonio hospital, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Grassland Methodist Church. Hudman Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Officiating will be the Rev. Joseph Yates, and burial will be in Terrace Cemetery in Post. The body will lie in state until 8 p.m. today at the Dell-Crest Funeral Home in San Antonio. He is survived by his wife, Sara V. of San Antonio; a daughter, Mrs. James Aten of Post; two sons, Novis Furr of San Antonio and Harvey Hutchinson of San Antonio; and four sisters, Mrs. Maggie Johnston of San Antonio, Mrs. Bertie Hartford of Globe, Ariz., Mrs. Maudie Shelton of Lubbock and Mrs. Minnie Shepherd of Olney.Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, Lubbock, Texas, September 26, 1973
