MIDLAND — Mrs. Minnie Smoot Barnhardt Furr, 85, textile retiree, died July 11, 1990, at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital In Concord. Funeral 1s 4 p.m. Friday at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight. Survivors are her sons, Donald Furr of Hampton, Va., Kenneth Furr of Titusville, Fla., Homer Furr of Ravenel, S.C., Willie Furr, James Furr, Larry Furr, all of Concord; daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean Wilkinson of Concord, Mrs. Carolyn Burris of Concord, Mrs. Phyllis Harvell, Mrs. Brenda Harvell; half-brother, Grover Cress of Concord.The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, July 12, 1990
