Baxter R. Eugene Furr, 64, died Friday. Born in Concord, N.C., he was a son of the late Sam B. and Annie Helms Furr. A World War II veteran, he was retired from Springs Industries and a Baptist. Surviving are sons, Sam B. Furr of Richburg and Michael E. Furr of Chester; and daughters, Mrs. Brenda F. Ewing, Mrs. Barbara F. Ray, Mrs. Betty Sue F. McFalls and Mrs. Darlene F. Stevens, all of Chester, Mrs. Robin F. Leonard of Blackstock and Ms. Deloris Ann Furr of Richburg. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Chapel of Barron Funeral Home of Chester, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.The State, Columbia, South Carolina, June 24, 1990
