Pvt. and Mrs. Baxter E. Furr announce the birth of a daughter at the Pryor hospital on Sunday, July 9. Private Furr is receiving training at Camp Blanding, Fla. Mrs. Furr is the former Miss Geneva Perry.Death
CHESTER — Mrs. Brenda Furr Ewing, 52, of 528 Sixth Street died Saturday, Nov. 23, 1996, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia. The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Barron Funeral Home, with the Revs. Keith Thompson and Paul Lockyer officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Ewing was a Chester native and attended Chester County schools. Surviving are her son, Timothy Ewing of Chester; two brothers, Sam Furr of Richburg and Michael Furr of Chester; six sisters, Barbara Bright and Robin Flenniken, both of Chester, Betty McFalls of Richburg, Darlene Tessener of Boiling Springs, N.C., Delores Millwood of Great Falls and Mary Mobley of McConnells; her special friend, Pete Gibson of Chester: and five grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the S.C. Commission for the Blind, 1430 Confederate Ave., Columbia, SC 29201. Barron Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Endnotes
