Smith Byrd Furr, 76, of Kiowa, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2022 at King’s House in McAlester. Smith was born on June 1, 1946 in Harpers Valley, Oklahoma to Marcus Thomas Furr and Georgia Lily (Shults) Furr. He married Ruby May Spickler on November 7, 1967. He is survived by wife of 55 years: Ruby May (Spickler) Furr of the home; his children: Tamra Winkler, Theresa Ortiz, and Travis Furr; his grandchildren: Anthony Furr, Amanda Jaramille and husband, Joey, Joshua Furr and wife, Sherri, Jeremy Furr, Corey Furr, and Courtney Furr; 7 great grandchildren; sister: Glenda Kay Presson and other family. Smith is preceded in death by his parents Marcus Thomas and Georgia Lily (Shults) Furr, 6 brothers and 5 sisters.Endnotes
