Death
OAKBORO - Lois F. Coble, 90, of 8225 N.C. 205, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at her home. There will be a graveside service at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2008 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Gerald Baucom and the Rev. Keith Walters officiating. The family will receive friends Friday in the church fellowship hall after the burial. Mrs. Coble was born Feb. 1, 1918, in Stanly County, the daughter of the late Charlie H. Furr and Rosa Hopkins Furr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cebron C. Coble; a son, Glenn M. Coble; and brothers and sisters, Newell Furr, Reece Furr, Leonard Furr and Colen Furr Austin. Survivors include her sons, Ted C. Coble and wife, Nancy, of Charlotte, Tony F. Coble and wife, Andria, of Oakboro and Wayne M. Coble and wife, Julie, of Concord; grandchildren, Amy Coble Preslar, Amanda Coble Coble, Jason Coble, David Coble, Richard Coble, Nelson Coble; great-grandchildren, Glenn Preslar, Adam Preslar, Jacob Coble, Sarah N. Coble, Emma Grace Coble, Blake Coble; and sister, Ruby F. Tucker. The family will meet at her home. Memorials may be made to Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 4694 N.C. 205, Oakboro, NC 28129 or Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
