Marriage
Miss Nancy Bost and Mr. Ralph Furr were married last Wednesday evening, June 18th. at 3 o'clock. The ceremony was performed at the Kerr Street Methodist parsonage by Rev. C. R. Allison and was witnessed by only a few close friends. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Furr went to Salisbury, where they spent several days with Mrs. Charles Culp; a sister of Mr. Furr. The bride is an attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Bost, while the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Furr and have hosts of friends in our village, who wish them much prosperity and happiness. Mr. and Mrs. Furr are making their home at the present with the latter's parents on Railroad avenue.The Concord Daily Tribune, Concord, North Carolina, June 24, 1924
Death
Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Bost Furr, 64, of 1809 Logie Ave., formerly of Derita, were to be held at 2 p.m. today in Cole Memorial Methodist Church. Burial was to be in Sharon Memorial Park. Mrs. Furr died Saturday in a Monroe Hospital. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Myra McDuffie and Mrs. Sarah Hunter of Charlotte, Mrs. Ruth Hunnicutt of Monroe and Mrs. Nancy Love of Albemarle; two sons, Edward Furr of Gastonia and Frank Furr of Charlotte; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Blackwelder of Salisbury, Mrs. Lydia Cooke of Concord and Mrs. Jenny Allman of Raleigh and twelve grandchildren.The Charlotte News, Charlotte, North Carolina, May 8, 1967
