Death
Mrs. Effie Furr Harwood, who died suddenly at her home on Stanfield, route 1, was the wife of James Franklin Harwood. There was an error in getting the particulars of the death to the News and Press, which is indeed glad to make this correction. The death of Mrs. Harwood, who was well-known throughout the community, was a distinct shock and she leaves many loving relatives and friends, who mourn her passing.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, August 17, 1937
