Death
Concord.—Samuel Jefferson Furr, 58, died Monday night at his home in No. 9 township following a stroke suffered early that day and funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Center Grove church, burial following in the church cemetery. Mr. Furr was a life-long resident of this county, the son of Wilson and Lula Snuggs Furr. He was‘a member of the Center Grove church. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Laura Smith; five daughters, Mrs. Effie Howard, Bessie Furr, Pearl Furr, Stella Furra and Margie Furr; three sons, Luther Furr, John Furr and Raymond Furr, and two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Mason and Mrs. Math Crayton.The News and Observer, Raleigh, North Carolina, April 1, 1937
