Death
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Louise Furr, 91, of Albemarle, mother of Alma B. Furr and Lonnie M. Furr of Charlotte, were conducted yesterday afternoon at the Stanly Funeral Home in Albemarle. The Rev. Brooks Jerome, her pastor, officiated, and burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Albemarle. Mrs. Furr died Thursday in an Albemarle hospital after four days serious illness. She was a lifelong resident of Stanly County, the daughter of the late James and Mollie Little Green. She was a member of Parkway Methodist Church in Albemarle. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. E. M. Coley of Rt. 1, Stanfield, and Miss Mary Elizabeth Furr of Albemarle; four sons, Robert L. Furr, Albemarle chief of police, James A. Furr of Albemarle, and Lonnie M. Furr and Alma B. Furr of Charlotte; and a sister, Mrs. Flora Brooks of Stanfield.The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, December 13, 1952
