Death
Mrs. Aaron E. Furr, 86, of Southport and Concord died Monday at her home in Southport after several years of illness. She was the mother of Carl Furr of Salisbury. The body is being taken to her Concord home today and burial will be on Wednesday. Complete arrangements have not yet been made. Mrs. Furr was the former Joella Kimrey. Her husband, Aaron E. Furr, died eight years ago. Survivors, in addition to her son Carl of Salisbury, include six other children, Walter Furr of Concord, James Furr of Wilmington, Dan Furr of Asheville, Charlie Fury of Concord, Zeb Furr of Boone, and Mrs. Roy Swain of Southport; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Salisbury grandchildren include Mrs. Herbert Flora Jr., Mrs. Ernest C. Mize, and Charles A. Furr, as well as A. Keith Furr of Faith.The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, July 2, 1957
