Death
CONCORD — Clyde Henderson Furr, 70, of Rt. 5, was dead on arrival Wednesday in Cabarrus Memorial Hospital, alter suffering a heart attack. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev Eugene Bost. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at the Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, Landis, tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock. Memorial contributions may be made to the church recreational field fund. Born Feb 5, 1908 in Cabarrus County, he was son of the late Wade H and Kate Rowe Furr. He was a farmer in the Rimer Town community, and was a member of Cross of Christ Church, where he formerly played soft ball. Survivors include his wife, Bettie Blackwelder Furr, a brother, Fred Furr of Rt. 5, Concord; four sisters, Mrs. Gladys Turner of Rt 1, Mt. Ulla, and Mrs Nell Rogers, Miss Nan Furr and Mrs. Inez Walter, all of Concord.Endnotes
