Death
MIDLAND — Carl Homer Furr, 81, of Route 1, died Wednesday at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be 4 p.m Friday at Mill Grove United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev Leonard Voncannon. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland tonight from 7 to 9. Born March 31, 1903, in Cabarrus County, he was a son of the late William Martin and Lillie Kiser Furr. He was a farmer and a member of Mill Grove United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Bogle Furr, a daughter, Judy Clark of Garden City, S.C , two sons, Carl Furr Jr of Charlotte and James Furr of Midland, three sisters, Beulah Harkey of Charlotte, Jewell Mullis of Indian Trail and Ruby Cox of Concord; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.Endnotes
