Death
Arrangements for Rev. Doyle H. Furr, 41, of 2135 E. Newton St., pastor of the J. H. Ball Memorial Methodist Church who died of cancer Friday, will be announced by Tulsa-Whisenhunt Funeral Home. Reared in Tulsa, Furr formerly held pastorates in Keystone, Mannford, Valliant, Elgin, Taloga, Prattville, Coweta and Wapanucka. For several months his health had been failing and he was placed on supernumerary status at the last state Methodist conference. Surviving are the widow, Mildred; a son, Jimmy Furr, and three daughters, Cheryle Ann, Judy Faye, and Jeri Lee, all of the home; five brothers, Rev. Rubert Furr, 539 S. 39th West Ave., Leon Furr, 1302 W. 2nd St., Lynn Furr, 1822 W. Edison St. J.R. Furr, 2001 W. Easton Court, and Glen Furr, Tulsa, and a sister, Mrs. Troy Collins, 528 S. 38th West Ave. Tulsa World, Tulsa, Oklahoma, June 5, 1965Endnotes
