Death
Services for Mrs. Mattie Furr of 563 N. Waco Ave., a Tulsa resident 20 years, will be at 2 p. m, Sunday at the Boulder Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Furr, 67, died Thursday afternoon in a Tulsa hospital after suffering a stroke at her home. A native of Morris County, Texas, she came to Tulsa from Russellville, Ark. She was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors are six sons, Albert G. and C. L. Furr, both of the home, Doyle H. Furr of Taloga, Rubert H. of 539 S. 39th W. Ave., Hubert Leon of 1302 W. Second St., and J. R. Furr of Sand Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Velma Collins of 524 8. 38th W. Ave. and 17 grandchildren. Burial will be in Bixby Cemetery under direction of the Tulsa-Whisenhunt Funeral home.The Tulsa Tribune, Tulsa, Oklahoma, April 19, 1957
