Death
Mr. John Slaughter Furr, age 93 of Bremen, Ga., formerly of Wilson St., Villa Rica, passed away June 6, following an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Doris Furr, Bremen, one son, Mr. Glenn Dorsey Furr, Villa Rica, one daughter, Mrs. Latha Furr Dilllingham, Villa Rica. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 8 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Terry Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
