Death
Funeral services for H. H. Furr, 66, of Celeste, who died Sunday in Goodnight Hospital, will be at 3 p.m. today at First Methodist Church, Celeste, with the Rev. Bill Davis, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Celeste Cemetery under direction of Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home, Greenville. Furr died after being stricken at the home of a son, Paul Furr, 3402 46th St. A resident of the Celeste area for 60 years, Furr was chairman of the official board of Celeste First Methodist Church and a member of Woodmen of the World and a member of the Lions Club. He was a farmer. Other survivors include the wife; a daughter, Mrs. Harold Baker, Greenville; three sisters, Mrs. H. E. Goodman, Celeste, Mrs. A. A. Gentry, Dallast (sic), and Mrs. Frank Darnell, Mesquite; three brothers, Emerson, Borger, R. C. and J. B., both of Dallas; and five grandchildren.
