Death

Russell C. Furr, 78, of 21 Langdon St. in Dallas, died Sunday in the Terrell Convalescent Center. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Weed Hogland officiating. Burial will be in the Celeste cemetery. Mr. Furr was born on Jan. 18, 1895 in Galveston, the son of P.M. Furr and Alive Morrow. He married Alzara Berzley on Nov. 29, 1920 in Celeste. Survivors include his wife, one son, H.K. Johnson. of Broomfield, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Richard T. Budd of Dallas and Mrs. B. J. Barton of Ft. Collins, Colo.; one brother, C.E. Furr of Borger; three sisters: Mrs. A. A. Gentry of Dallas, Mrs. Ann Station of Celeste and Mrs. Frank Darnell of Mesquite; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
