Death
STANFIELD -- Mr. William Furr Flowe, age 75, of 9677 Myrtle Drive, Stanfield, NC died Sunday, November 5, 2000 at Stanly Memorial Hospital, Albemarle. A memorial service will be held 4 PM, Wednesday, November 8, 2000 at United Love Baptist Church, with Rev. Marvin Tyson officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-4 PM, Wednesday, prior to the service at the church. Mr. Flowe was a native of Mecklenburg Co., NC, born February 21, 1925 to Beulah Furr Flowe of Charlotte and the late Ira Dearmon Flowe. He was a self-employed Truck Driver and member of United Love Baptist Church. Surviving him are his wife, Mary S. Flowe, of the home; sons, Doug Flowe and wife, Shirley Flowe of Midland, Jerry Flowe and wife, Nancy Flowe of Charlotte; daughters, Cindy Flowe of Stanfield, Carolyn and husband, Jeff Livingston of Charlotte; mother, Beulah F. Flowe of Charlotte; brother, Mac Flowe of Charlotte; sisters, Jean Rogers & Betty Wentz, both of Charlotte; 9 grandsons; and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will be at the home of son, Jerry Flowe, 7603 Wilson Grove Road, Charlotte, NC. Memorials may be made to: United Love Baptist Church, 11487 Flowes Store Road, Midland, NC 28107.
