Death
DANVILLE, Va. April 18. — Franklin Furr, two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Furr, of Bachelor’s Hall, was killed yesterday when he fell into a spring near the parental home and remained there immersed for fully 10 minutes before being found. The child apparently was trying to reach some water when he fell head foremost in the shallow pool. The child was still breathing when found but died in an ambulance en route to a Danville hospital.News and Record, Greensboro, North Carolina, April 19, 1942
