LINCOLNTON — Mrs. Beulah Furr Cox, age 98, formerly of 131 Labans Lane in Lincolnton died Wednesday, January 5, 2000 at Brian Center in Lincolnton. A memorial service will be 1:00 PM Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Lincolnton with the Rev. Mary McKey officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Mrs. Cox was born on September 16, 1901 in Cabarrus County to the late Mathis and Annie Fisher Furr and was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Eugene Cox. She was a retired sales clerk. Survivors include: five grandchildren, Phillip Warren of Lincolnton, Constance Sowers of Salisbury, Richard Warren of Snellville, GA, Patricia Thompson of Maiden, Cindy Triplett of Greensboro.The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, January 6, 2000
