Death
CONCORD, May 10. — Matthias Franklin Furr, 80, died today at his home here. Funeral will be held Sunday at 4:30 p. m. at First Baptist Church and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. He is survived by seven sons, Walter Eugene Furr of Franklin, Harold Ernest Furr of Kannapolis, Arthur Jason, Martin Franklin, Roy Woodley, and Robert Wallace Furr of Concord and Harry Wilson Furr of Charlotte; two daughters, Mrs. Nora E, Hudson and Mrs. Beulah M. Cox of Concord; two step-sisters, Mrs. Lou Blackwelder and Mrs. Dolly Krimminger of Concord; 20 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.News and Record, Greensboro, North Carolina, May 11, 1947
