Death
Mrs. Willie Louise Furr, 50, of Route 1, Richfield, died Monday at 9:30 p. m. in the Stanly County Hospital after becoming ill at her home a short time before. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the New Mt. Tabor Methodist Church of which she was a member. Rev. Johnny Hall conducted the rites, assisted by Rev. George Winecoff. Burial was in the church cemetery. The former Miss Willie Louise Rogers, she was the daughter of the late John P. and Ida Brooks Rogers of Stanly County. Her husband, James Boyce Furr, to whom she was married December 20, 1930, survives along with two sons, Boyd of Albemarle and Roger of Charlotte; two grandchildren; one brother, Jack Rogers of Route 1, New London; two sisters, M. F. Nance of Route 1, Peachland and Miss Frances Rogers of Route 1, Richfield; and a step-mother, Mrs. Sadie Rogers of Route 1, Richfield.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, March 25, 1960
