Death
ALBEMARLE — Mrs. Foy Furr Barrier, 62, of 1025 E. Main St., died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday in Stanly County Hospital. The funeral was scheduled for 2 p.m. today in Central United Methodist Church with the Revs. Don Ellis and William Robinson officiating. Burial was set for the Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Barrier was born on July 17, 1916, in Stanly County. She was the daughter of Mrs. Lona Moss Furr and the late A. A. Furr and was employed as a secretary for radio station WZKY in Albemarle for 13 years. Survivors include her husband, Sam W. Barrier; two daughters, Mrs. Billie Jo Norton of Albemarle and Mrs. Jann Fagan of Beaufort, S. C.; three brothers, Alma Barrier, Bill Barrier and Ted Barrier, all of Albemarle; and four grandchildren.The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, January 2, 1978
