Death
ALBEMARLE — Jettie Furr Morton, 64, of 4905 Cottonwood Drive, Fayetteville, a native of Stanly County, died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hartsell Funeral Home, Lefler Memorial Chapel, Albemarle, conducted by the Rev. James Seales, pastor of Fayetteville Grace Baptist Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home until the service. Born March 10, 1920, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Prince A. and Carrie Byrd Furr. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband,J.D. Morton; a son, Timothy Morton of the home; four brothers, Belvin, Marvin and Thad Furr, all of Albemarle, and Rayvon Furr of New London; a sister, Irene Brantley of San Bernadino, Calif.; and a half sister, Gladys Gobble of Albemarle.Endnotes
