Death
Mildred Pauline Furr Furr, 82, of 5432 Rushing Rd., Stanfield, died at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 1998, in NorthEast Medical Center. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. today in Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The Rev. Everette Cooper will officiate and burial will be in Love Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Born May 12, 1915, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late John and Sophronia Howell Furr and was a homemaker. She was a member of Coyle Baptist Church, Stanfield. Her husband, Lonnie Lee Furr, preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Lonnie “Toby” Furr Jr., of Oakboro; two daughters, Brenda Morgan of Stanfield and Mable Hartsell of Oakboro; three stepsons, Ephraim Furr of Myrtle Beach, Joe Furr of Charlotte and Charles Barbee of Concord; two stepdaughters, Clara Hatley of Stanfield and Sarah Love of Concord; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, January 18, 1998
