Death
Services were held Monday afternoon from the Chapel of Brookhaven Funeral Home for Mrs. W. H. Furr, 84, who died late Saturday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas F. Lee in Jackson after a long illness. Burial was in Wesson cemetery. She was a native of Copiah County, having lived most of her life in Wesson, and was a member of the Beauregard Methodist Church. Survivors include four sons,Ray A. Furr, Columbus, Carl R. Furr and W. Hubert Furr, both of Jackson, Lester R. Furr, Wesson; three daughters, Mrs. W. E. Wright, Forrest City, Ark., Mrs R. H. Bates and Mrs. Thomas F. Lee, both of Jackson; one brother, Randolph C. Ray, of Collins; a sister, Mrs. S. A. Renfrow, Jackson; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grand children. Officiating ministers at the rites were Rev. Bob Shands and Rev. W. H. Wicker, Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased.Endnotes
