Death
Edith Rae Furr WhiteServices for Edith Rae Furr White of Wesson are 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Little Bahala Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday, Oct. 22, from 6-9 p.m. and Monday, Oct. 23, from 8 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. White, 86, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, at Country Brook Living Center. She was born in Lincoln County on June 22, 1914, to the late Mack C. and Vallie Mae Morgan Furr.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Little Bahala Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, James Oliver White; brothers, Percy Furr and Hugh Furr; and a grandson, Patrick Raymond White.
Survivors are her sons, James Alton White of Sacramento, Calif., and Gary L. White of Wesson; brother, Hilton Furr of Wesson; sisters, Meryle Terwilliger of Greenwood, Maxine Kelley of Hernando and Esther Farmer of Wesson; two grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
