Death
Funeral services for Percy Furr, prominent dairyman of Hazlehurst, were held at Little Pahala Church May 17 with interment in the church cemetery. Mr. Furr was born and raised in Lincoln County and had spent the majority of his life in Mississippi Delta where he had a cotton plantation. He and his wife moved back home in 1956 after which he purchased a dairy farm located six miles southeast of Hazlehurst. He had been active on his farm until the past two months. In addition to a host of friends in the Delta, Lincoln and Copiah counties he leaves his wife, Mrs. Fannie Hutson Furr, Hazlehurst; his mother, Mrs. Mack Furr; four sisters, and two brothers, Hugh and Hilton Furr of Wesson. Pallbearers were Marvin Foster, Mr. Twiner, Claude Herbert, Dan Jones, Grady Tarver, Pete James. 6/1/1965Endnotes
