George W. SPINKS
(11 Apr 1852 - 11 Sep 1915)
Throughout his life, he and his family lived in the area where Fauquier, Loudoun, and Prince William counties of Virginia are close together. Because he was a farm laborer, his family relocated among those counties.
He married twice, although in the second case, it appears that the ceremony occurred later than the actual fact. The first wife, Virginia "Jennie" Payne, produced six children, with four surviving. The second wife, Ida Bryant, produced nine children with seven surviving infancy.
He died on 11 Sep 1915 in Nokesville, Prince William, VA of heart disease. He was buried the next day at the cemetery of the Oakdale Baptist Church.
