Mrs. Lois Royster Critcher, 93 of 6513 Huntsboro Road died Tuesday November 17, 1998 at Brantwood Nursing and Retirement Center. Mrs. Critcher was a native of Granville Co., daughter of the late George W. and Lottie Moon Royster, widow of Calvin J. Critcher, a longtime very active member of Tabbs Creek Baptist Church, a dedicated mother and homemaker.
Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday from Gentry-Newell & Vaughan Funeral Chapel by the Rev. J. Lemar Wheeler and The Rev.
Lanny Atkins. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Anne and Luey Finch, Jr. of Oxford; sons and daughters-in-law Howard J. and Joan Critcher and Dan R. and Nell Critcher both of Raleigh; brothers Elvin Royster of Clarksville, VA, John Morgan Royster of Oxford; sisters, Lutie Mae Oakley of Richmond, VA, Linville Royster of Oxford; grandchildren, Alton R. Critcher and Lyle S. Critcher both of Raleigh, LuAnne Clark of Oxford, Linda Reavis of Henderson, Stefanie Lee and Howard J. Critcher, Jr. both of Raleigh; six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of Luey and Anne Finch, 6507 Huntsboro Rd.
