OXFORD - Ruth Critcher Glasscock, 87, of 1555 Oak Hill Road, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Brantwood Nursing Center. A native of Granville County, she was the widow of Willie Alfred Glasscock and the daughter of the late Robert and Lallye Gooch Critcher.
She was a member of Amos Chapel Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by the Revs. Terry Howard and John Yount. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.
Surviving are five daughters, Dolly Riley of Kittrell, Mildred Yarborough of Townsville, Julia Collins of Louisburg, Gloria Daniel of Henderson and Florence Blackwell of Oxford; two sons, Al and Richard Glasscock, both of Oxford; a sister, Elizabeth Strouth of Clayton; 21 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marie Lank-ford, and a grandson, Brian Nance.
The visitation will be held today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford.
