Keziah Thompson

(Bef 1765 - )

Keziah might have been the sister to Mary Thompson who married Israel's brother Valentine in 1793. Or she may have been a young widow with children.

On 15 Sep 1795 at Lincoln County, Jacob Harman Jun., and his wife Mary of Lincoln County sold to Bolling Thompson, Jemima Ann Thompson, William Perkins Thompson and Sally Thompson, heirs to Perkins Thompson, deceased of Madison County , state of Kentucky for 30 pounds money of Kentucky, 124 acres in Lincoln County on the waters of Dicks River beginning at Jones’ and Craig’s corner… then corner to Bledsoe.
Note: It is possible that these were children of the Keziah Thompson who married Israel Harmon as perhaps his third wife, and her Thompson husband. Israel & Keziah were living in Madison Co in 1795. Boling & Perkins Thompson were later in many of the records on Hurricane Creek in Livingston Co.

From Richard Davis:
Israel Harmon lived on Hurricane Creek in Livingston County which is near Paraquite Creek. Robert Kirk who lived in that area in about 1809, decided to start his own town. He owned a large track on Hurricane Creek and subdivided it into smaller town lots. I know that there were at least 30 lots and he called it Kirksville. In the 1810 census, there were only five households in "Kirksville Town". Kezia Harmon lived there (020010-00201) next to James Trimble.

Keziah Harmon is listed in the 1810 Census, Kirksville, Livingston Co, KY.
2 males 10-16, 1m 26-45. 2 females 16-26, 1 female over age 45.
The sons 10-16 were likely John and Valentine ...who was the elder son? The two females likely Rebecca and Lydia.
