Sarah remarried after the death of John Byrd - to William Burch

Some databases claim Carter as Sarah's maiden name - I have found no proof.

He is also noted as being one of those living at the head of Nob Fork of Elk Creek, Turkey Fork of Creek, Beaverdam of Elk Creek, or on Elk Creek. He appears on a tax list in Wythe Co in 1793, but not on the Grayson Co list of 1795.
