Vincent, a clerk in a dry goods store, age 26; Eva D. Vincent, age 18; and Alice M. Vincent, age 17. Also a boarder, Joseph Lacombe, age 24.According to this census, Phelix (sic) and Rose had been married for 36 years. He had immigrated in 1881, and was an alien (not naturalized). Rose is reported to have immigrated in 1865, but I know that she came at the same time as her husband. Did she perhaps make an earlier visit? I have not seen other evidence of it. Rose had borne twelve children, six of whom were still alive.
