Edgar Aiken, who died at State Park Sunday night, was buried in the historic Salem Presbyterian church graveyard Tuesday, following funeral services at the church by the pastor, the Rev. Mr. Alexander. Mrs. Aiken had not been in good heath for several years. She was 38 years of age. She was a daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. J. H. Kirkpatrick of Fort Lawn, Chester county. She was a devoted member of the Presbyterian church and a woman of the sweetest Christian character. In addition to her husband and father, Mrs. Aiken is survived by four sisters, Mrs. A. C. Miller of Longtown; Mrs. M. M. Young [N. M. Yongue] of Fort Lawn, Miss Hattie Kirkpatrick of Fort Lawn and Miss Ella Mae Kirkpatrick of Chester; and by five brothers, W. M. Kirkpatrick of Great Falls, J. M. Kirkpatrick of Denmark, J. G. Kirkpatrick of Great Falls, G. B. Kirkpatrick of Meridian, Miss., and Aiken Kirkpatrick of Fort Lawn. She is also survived by a son, Edgar Kirkpatrick, Jr.
