Mrs. Ruth Ann Brown, 68, passed away at her home three miles southeast of Sesser at noon Tuesday. Mrs. Brown, daughter of George and Sarah E. Huie Kirkpatrick, was born near Sesser where she spent her entire life. She is survived by her husband, Sanford brown, three children, Lonzo, W. F. Brown and Mrs. Jennie Johnson, all of Sesser; two brothers, Wm. Kirkpatrick of Sesser and C. H. Kirkpatrick of West Frankfort; three sisters, Mrs. Louisa Stubblefield, Mrs. Ida Jones, both of Sesser and Cora McCrackin of Virden, Illinois.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at Horse Prairie church. Rev. Cyrus Maulding of Mt. Vernon officiated. Interment at Horse Prairie cemetery.
