The Journal-News, Hamilton, Ohio, Monday, September 9, 1991: Hobert Hayes, 93, of Fairfield Township, died Sunday at Fort Hamilton-Hughes Memorial Hospital. Born in Jackson County, Ky., Mr. Hayes was the operator-owner of Hayes Lumber yard for 45 years, retiring in 1985. He is survived by his son, Curt of Yakima, Wash.; daughter Gertrude Lewis of Portland, Ore.; brothers, John of Hamilton, and Edward of Grey Hawk, Ky.; sisters, Sarah Bybee of Norwood and Helen Black of Brooklyn, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton. Visitation is 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park.
