Locust street, died at 5 a.m. Saturday at the Soldiers home in Marshalltown, Ia., after an extended illness. Friends may call after 2. p.m. Sunday at the Haudenshield funeral home, 1258 Main street, from which services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday to St. Patrick's church, Dubuque. Burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery, Benton, Wis.
Kirkpatrick was a contractor for 20 years in Dubuque. He retired 21 years ago. He was born Aug. 11, 1875 in Shullsburg, Wis., and resided in Dubuque for 41 years. He was a veteran with two years service in the Spanish- American war. He was a member of St. Patrick's church and of the General Fitz Hugh Lee camp No. 1 of Spanish American veterans.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Lucy Savary Kirkpatrick; three daughters, Mrs. Blanche Skelton, of Portsmouth, Va., Mrs. L. S. (Lennice) Forrest of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Harold (Lois) Kamm, of Dubuque; two sons, Theodore Kirkpatrick of Walkerton, Ind., and Lloyd Kirkpatrick, of Dubuque; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mary Tiffanny, of Shullsburg, and two brothers, William Kirkpatrick, of Shullsburg, and John Kirkpatrick, of Darlington, Wis.
