Dubuque Telegraph Herald, Dubuque, Iowa, Monday, October 11, 1915, Page 10, Col. 1: Melvina Kirkpatrick Dies. Young Girl Claimed by Death Sunday, Demise Due to Rheumatism. Dies of Rheumatism. Melvina, the twelve-year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe [George] Kirkpatrick, died at the family residence, 53 St. Mary's street on Sunday morning at 5 o'clock. The little girl had been suffering for some time past from rheumatism which was the immediate cause of her death. Besides her parents she leaves to mourn her death four sisters and three brothers. The body was taken to Benton, Wis., Monday morning at ten o'clock and the funeral will be held from there Tuesday morning at nine o'clock with services at the Catholic church.
