He was a former machinist at Kaiser Steel and a member of the Church of Christ in Fontana. Survivors include his wife, Grace; three sons, Johnathan of Fontana, Arthur of Laguna Beach and Robert of El Toro; four daughters, Irene Petrie of Laguna Hills, Mary Bobo of Beaumont, and Betty Oldham and Jean Adams, both of Fontana; 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Ingold Chapel. Burial will be in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the chapel. The family suggest contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
