On the 1880 U. S. Census of Precinct 2, Dawson Co., Nebraska, George B. Campbell (spelled Campbelle) appears with his wife Nancy M. and children Charles C., Sydney E. and Verda V. George is a farmer.
On the 1900 U. S. Census of Blaine, Dawson Co., Nebraska, G. B. Campbell appears with his wife Nancy M. and children Vida V., Frank W., Amos L., Lida F., William Raoy, Oral V. and Reatha N. G. B. is a farmer.
On the 1910 U. S. Census of Blaine, Dawson Co., Nebraska, George B. Campbell appears only with his children as he is a widow. The children are Sidney E., Vida V., William R., Oral B. and Retha M. George and Sidney are farmers. William and Oral are working as farm laborers.
OBITUARY
Gerorge B. Campbell, one of the pioneers of this community, died at his home north of this city on Monday, March 13, 1922, after a brief illness from pneumonia. Mr. Campbell transacted some business in this city on Friday of last week. On arriving at his home he immediately took to his bed, growing rapidly more seriously ill until his death came. Mr. Campbell was born near Fairfield, Iowa, July 17, 1849. On April 29, 1873, he was united in marriage to Miss Nancy M. Funkhausen and to this union twelve children were born, eight of whom are living. The mother's death occurred in 1908. Mr. Campbell came to Dawson county in 1880 and settled on a homestead seven miles northeast of Gothenburg, where he mad his home until his death. Five sons and three daughters survive him. C. C. Campbell of Brule, Neb., S. E. and Miss Verda Campbell of Gothenburg, Frank Campbell of North Platte, Mrs. Henry Brestel of Gothenburg, Roy Campbell of Brule, O. B. Campbell of Gothenburg and Mrs. G. W. Noice, Curtis. Funeral services will be held at the home at 2:30, and at the Presbyterian church in this city, of which deceased was a member, at 3:20 o'clock tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon, conducted by the Pastor, Rev. Arthur Soundy. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
OBITUARY: George Campbell's Babies
Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Campbell mourn the loss of their twin babies, which occurred last Thursday and Friday. They were buried in Grandview Cemetery, on Saturday.
