He was 81 years of age and his death was due to the infirmities of old age. Mr. Campbell was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Campbell, and was born in Illinois on February 5th 1836. For many years he has made his home in Jefferson county and the later years of life he had lived in Fairfield, where he is highly respected by all. He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Jane Lemmon in this county on June 25th, 1857. She preceded him in death on Sept.6th, 1915. To this union were born the following children: Mrs. Ada Kirkpatrick of Cozad, Neb., Mrs. Della Ramsey of Fairfield and John Campbell of Richland. They took Ed Campbell of this city to raise and reared him as carefully as they did their other children. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister: George B. Campbell of Gothenburg, Neb., B. R. Campbell of Scotts Bluff, Neb., and Mrs. O. J. Ristine of Gothenburg, Neb. Three brothers and two sisters of the deceased have passed away. The Fairfield Abbey was a mausoleum located in Greenwood Cemetery. After the mausoleum went backrupt and then into ruin, the Court ordered bodies, including Mary Jane and Frank's, to be placed in plots at Greenwood Cemetery. Photos show gravestones of those who were moved.
