Unknown Newspaper: Services for Louis H. Klein On Saturday. Louis H. Klein passed away on Wednesday morning at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital. Born May [unclear] 1883, at Lancaster, Wisconsin, he was 86. Surviving him are a daughter, Mrs. Blanche Stevens and a son Elmer Klein, both of Gothenburg; five grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; three brothers: Fred of Hamburg, Iowa, George of Lexington, and Lawrence of Hebron, Neb.; three sisters: Mrs. Annie Kasper of Lancaster, Wisc., Mrs. Clara Powell of Vancouver, Canada, and Edith Richey of Fairmont, Neb.; many other relatives and his many friends.
Louis Henry Klein came to Nebraska at the age of nine years and his family homesteaded near Stop Table. He spent most of his life there, moving to Gothenburg about 25 years ago.He was united in marriage to Bertha Kirkpatrick on Nov. 25, 1903. Mrs. Klein was a member of Morning Star Church, recently transferring to the United First Methodist Church here.
Services were held Saturday morning at the McVay Chapel, conducted by Rev. Marvin McDougle, Sr. of the United First Methodist Church. Bernard Ristine was soloist, with Mrs. Hiddie Kuhlman at the organ. pallbearers were Orval Naylor, William Gruber, John Block, Lief Johnson, V. A. Sholund and George Bonde. Interment was in Stop Table Cemetery.
