Bertha Mary Kirkpatrick

Unknown newspaper, Services for Bertha M. Kline [Klein] Held Tuesday. Mrs. Bertha M. Kline, daughter of Roscoe and Addie Kirkpatrick, was born near Cozad, Nebr., May 8, 1885. She grew to young womanhood in the community. On November 25, 1903, she was married to Louis H. Klein, and to this union were born two sons and one daughter. They lived on a farm northwest of Cozad for a number of years, later moving to a farm southwest of Callaway. In 1941, they moved to Gothenburg, residing here until her death.
After moving to Gothenburg, she together with her husband, joined the Evangelical Free Church. They observed their 60th Wedding Anniversary in November 1963.
She passed from this life Sunday, October 4, 1964, at the age of 79 years, 4 months, and 26 days. A son, Wayne preceded her in death in 1938.
She is survived by her husband, Louis; a daughter, Mrs. Blanche Stevens, and a son, Elmer, all of Gothenburg; five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, as well as other relatives and many friends.
Services Tuesday morning at the McVay-Olesen Chapel were conducted by Rev. Arthur Olson of the Evangelical Free Church. Bernard Ristine was the soloist, with Mrs. Harry Ostergard as accompanist. Pallbearers were E. H. Leudenmann, Ernest Oman, George Murray, John Block, Lief Johnson and Carl Courter. Interment was in Stop Table Cemetery, Callaway.
