Mrs. Tompkins is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Mark E. and Patricia Jerman Tompkins of Columbia, S. C.; grandson, Daniel Jerman Tompkins; brother and sister-in-law, James A. and Patricia Hildreth of Jackson, Mich.; aunt Virginia Engle of Akron; many nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m., at the Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Rev. Douglas Denton officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, 7 to 9 p.m. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Ella Sharpe Museum, 3225 4th St., Jackson, Mich. 49203; or Multiple Sclerosis Society, 251 E.
