Lexington Leader, Lexington, Kentucky, Wednesday, August 5, 1936, Page 1, Col. 6: Death Comes To I. J. Engle, Three-Week Illness Is Fatal to Real Estate Dealer; Rites Thursday. Isaac James Engle, 50, Lexington real estate dealer, died at the Good Samaritan hospital at 3:15 o'clock this morning following an illness of three weeks. He was born in Madison county, the son of Robert and Martha Jones, but had been a resident of Lexington for more than 30 years. He came here to attend Transylvania College and had since resided here. He is survived by his parents, his wife, Mrs. Nell Sugden Engle; two sons, William Robert Engle and Harold James Engle; five sisters, Mrs. Dan Wallace, Lexington; Mrs. H. M. Whittington, Richmond; Mrs. Wallace Agee, Mrs. Herschel Bowen and Mrs. Joe Cooper, all of Louisville, and one brother, Henry Engle, Louisville. The body was removed to the residence, 321 Given avenue. Services will be held at the W. R. Milward mortuary chapel, at 3:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Rev. Mark Collis officiating, Interment will be in the family lot in the Lexington cemetery.
